First American will help you develop your technical and professional skills and increase your knowledge of our business processes. You will receive company-wide training as well as specific, job-related training within each business division of the company.
We also offer tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 annually for employees who want to further business-related educational pursuits outside of working hours. Employees are eligible for reimbursement of tuition, books, and related fees for pre-approved courses or degree programs that increase job effectiveness or business knowledge, or that prepare employees for different or more advanced work within First American.
At First American, we empower and develop our leaders through a variety of programs that transform managers into strategic, creative individuals who learn to better lead themselves and lead others. We provide the necessary tools and training for all levels of leadership in the company. In our programs, you will learn a variety of leadership skills, from fundamental management concepts to high level strategic planning and decision-making.
Through our leadership programs, we target specific development needs, which fulfill our talent pipeline. Two examples are our Women in Leadership and Excellence in Underwriting programs. With a company comprised of 70% women, our Women in Leadership program is designed to best position and provide visibility to future talent. Our Excellence in Underwriting program targets a highly skilled position critical to our company success and develops necessary partnership skills for our underwriters to be leaders with our sales team and customer.
