What We Do

* Fully remote position with the option to work in-office *

You will lead an engineering team building key features of a global platform facilitating title and escrow services.  This is a hands-on role that manages and coaches a highly motivated team of four to six developers and facilitates driving the team's initiatives to completion.  You will play a key role in influencing and implementing the best approach for solving technical problems.  Leveraging a broad knowledge of available technologies, you will assist in finding solutions that will perform at scale, while also being maintainable and manageable long term.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with Product and have a deep understanding of our business goals and project outcomes.

  • Drive the development velocity of your team forward to move quickly, refine estimations and meeting those estimated timelines.

  • Drive design and development of critical application components.

  • Ensure the team is executing, and delivering solutions that strike the right balance of achieving outcomes, time spent, best practices, cost, scalability.

  • Help identify success metrics for the team.

  • Identify and engage the appropriate resources for decisions and approvals in the interest of moving quickly and efficiently (e.g., validating with Product, validating architecture decisions, encouraging peer reviews, pulling in subject matter experts).

  • Work across borders and time zones to help drive projects to completion.

What You'll Bring

  • Prior experience as an engineering team lead.

  • 5+ years hands on development experience.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experienced mentoring and coaching developers in their career growth.

  • Experience in fast past, highly iterative product development processes.

  • Ability to deliver high quality software in a remote environment utilizing the scrum process.

  • Has experience working in highly distributed, cloud-native environments (Azure or AWS).

  • Has experience working with databases (MS SQL, Postgres SQL)

  • Can self-manage and collaborate effectively.

  • Uncomfortable committing code without tests.

  • Knowledgeable of the presentation layer, Angular preferred.

Pay Range: $135,000 – $180,000 annually

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting.  Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
