Job Summary

As a Principal Solutions Architect you will report to the Senior Director of Engineering and develop the architecture vision and design, build, and deliver a suite of core Document Management APIs and back-end services, using emerging frameworks and architectural patterns, from POC to Production. In this technical leadership role, you will work with enterprise architects, engineers, and business partners in translating requirements into software architecture designs for the platform, which are highly scalable and resilient. You will leverage your technical leadership and background to perpetuate our learning culture to empower our delivery teams.

This position will be held accountable for defining and managing application architecture strategy, standards, guidelines, and processes that meet business strategic and tactical goals while ensuring applications resiliency.

Responsibilities and Duties

In this role, you will participate in the full life cycle of application development with duties including but not limited to:

  • Lead complex technical architecture discussions and design exercises to create solutions designed to drive innovation while ensuring solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud and other platforms

  • Make recommendations on integration strategies, architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution providing best practice advice to customers to optimize product effectiveness

  • Build a trusted advisory relationship with strategic customers across the business and engage with Architects and senior management to identify customer priorities, technical objections and design strategies encompassing the entire ecosystem to deliver business value

  • Champion change by serving as a resource to help teams make appropriate system and component level design decisions during implementation

  • Top level technical expert in one or more highly specialized phases of applications programming

  • Become the domain expert for our business and gain a deep knowledge of their infrastructure and internal systems.

  • Collaborate with integration architect to build API solutions that integrate various platform metadata with internal data structures

  • Coordinate with various teams, including internal and external partners involved in applications modernization initiatives

Qualifications

  • Typically have 15+ years of directly related experience

  • Expertise in deployment and observability strategies that support continuous delivery and high availability

  • Experience with software development productivity metrics (e.g., code churn, commit size, test coverage, etc.) to inform areas for continuous improvement

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong relationship, collaborative, and organization skills

  • Experience in designing application and microservices and leading mission critical 24x7 solutions using agile methods

  • Broad experience in full stack development, with specific architectural understanding of public cloud Networking, cloud native applications in s AWS, Serverless, Containerization, Security and Compliance, Abstraction layers, and more

  • Experience with DevOps processes, including CI/CD, Monitoring, Provisioning and Deployment, Operations, and more

  • Solid understanding of design patterns and architecture.

  • Deep knowledge of domain driven design and event-driven architecture

  • Demonstrated experience developing reference architecture, principles, and standards

  • Ability to develop, deliver, and manage complex API integrations between various platforms

  • Ability and willingness to operate in a highly cross-functional environment

Pay Range: $194,700.00 - $233,640.00

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting.  Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
