What We Do

The First American Law Group, a Division of First American Title Insurance Company, represents insured owners and lenders in resolving real estate title issues, and the paralegal will provide litigation and administrative support to the attorneys licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with in-house litigation counsel in a friendly and collegial environment. This office currently uses a hybrid work model. Personnel work remotely Monday, Thursday, and Friday and are in the office on Tuesday and Wednesday. The office is in Berwyn, Pennsylvania.

What You'll Do:

  • File pleadings with the courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey
  • Coordinate and schedule hearings and depositions
  • Coordinate service of process and publication of legal notices
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing pleadings and legal documents
  • Draft correspondence to clients and third parties
  • Record real estate documents with Recorder of Deeds
  • Obtain copies of documents filed with the Court and Recorder of Deeds
  • Organize and maintain electronic files
  • Provide administrative support to the attorneys, including processing mail, making copies, scanning documents and screening telephone calls

What You'll Bring:

  • Completed paralegal program
  • College degree preferred
  • Three to five years of professional experience
  • Paralegal certification
  • Proficient in Adobe Pro and MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Experience with Abacus is desired, but not required
  • Must be detail oriented, able to work independently

Salary Range: $34.68 - $46.22 Hourly

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting.  Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
