First American is looking to add a Title Coordinator to our team. In this role you will work with multiple parties to coordinate the resolution and completion of the title process. Monitors and tracks the workflow from searcher and contractors. Coordinates multi-site project intake and transaction management. Reviews and validates the accuracy of data contained within mortgage loan files. Verifies file completeness, obtains outstanding title documents, and approves completed files. Performs special projects. Assists with title production support services and settlement services preparation.What You'll Do:
- Reviews complex coverage analysis and provides work up for approval
- Resolves complex claims and escalated transactions
- Properly prices commitments, endorsements, policies and guarantees using appropriate schedule of fees and charges
- Researches property details and looks for back title on orders to confirm accuracy; coordinates with clients and searchers to reconcile discrepancies
- Keeps responsible parties abreast of status or issues regarding title orders; direct questions to responsible parties
- May participate in business development activities to maintain existing clients and acquire new clients
- Proactively contacts vendors to ensure timely delivery of completed searches, escalate past due search requests, address issues with completed searches, and keep system updated
- May assist offshore team by answering questions and resolving escalated issues
- Utilizes company operating systems to coordinate/manage work flow, produce products and respond to customer requests
What You'll Bring:
- Strong MS Office skill set
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to analyze, compare, interpret and process data
- Ability to multi task and perform intense and accurate document review
- Strong knowledge of company and/or client operating systems
- High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
- Typical Range of Experience
- 4+ years’ experience in escrow/title or curative lender role
- HUD or closing experience is a plus
- Familiarity with Home Mortgage Disclosure Act a plus
Pay Range: $20.72-$27.62 Hourly
This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
