Enable you to apply your administrative skills and support to your team as we lead the industry in transforming how commercial real estate transactions are completed. First American is looking to add Commercial Escrow Assistant to our growing commercial real estate team. In this role you will work in a dynamic, fast-paced setting supporting our Escrow team in a variety of ways including customer support and administrative duties. This position plays a key role in transforming the commercial real estate experience by empowering our employees and customers to deliver next-generation solutions and results. **This is a Hybrid role and will need to work out of the Cleveland office**

What You’ll Do:  

  • Assist the Escrow Officer in the escrow process for simple and complex commercial transactions with various tasks such as preparing documents for closing; obtaining and reviewing closing statement information; entering deposits and handling disbursements;following- up with customers for crucial information; organizing and processing incoming and outgoing physical paperwork and electronic documents 
  • Communicate regularly with customers during the escrow process; adapts communication style as needed
  • Identify and help resolve issues related to real estate title documents and title insurance by relying on title commitment reports, acquired experience, and collaboration with the Escrow Officer, Title Underwriter, and others
  • Interpret various agreements as they relate to escrow closings and deadlines
  • Utilize spreadsheets, reports, calendars, and other resources to effectively track and coordinate a broad range of time-sensitive transaction details such as transaction milestones, document recording progress, outgoing documents, checks, financial balances, and more
  • Work with innovative technologies to enable escrow transactions and communicates with customers to provide a phenomenal customer experience 
  • Provide direction to globally-based title and escrow assistants to accomplish greater results

  • Knowledge of MS Office suite and Adobe PDF software, and ability to quickly adapt to new software applications and technologies  
  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • 1+ years office experience, real estate experience preferred

Pay Range: $17.23-$23.68 hourly

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting.  Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
