What We Do

Researches and underwrites Title Policies, primarily for commercial transactions, in accordance with internal and external policies and regulations, for properties located in the State of California

HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE

• Responsible for reviewing title searches primarily for commercial transactions for residential development.
• Researches exceptions to title that can be eliminated following underwriting guidelines
• Properly prices policies and endorsements, using appropriate schedule of fees and charges
• Familiar with all aspects of title work
• Utilizes technical bulletins in order to evaluate and resolve problems
• Participates in business development activities to maintain existing clients and acquire new clients
• Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU’LL BRING 

• Required Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Some college preferred
• 5 plus years title/related real estate experience   

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with company operating systems and knowledge of Microsoft Office. Datatrace experience preferred.
• Must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to research independently as needed
• Must be able to keep up in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to manage and balance multiple projects
• Detail / quality orientation
• Analytical review skills
• Research skills
• Strong problem solving skills

COMPLEXITIES & IMPACT 
Assignments vary in complexity but typically follows department policies and procedures
Has some latitude for un-reviewed action or decision
Works independently for most aspects of the job
Exercises judgment within defined policies and procedures
Escalates issues to more experienced team members

Pay Range: $30.90 - $41.19 Hourly

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
