The Post Closing Analyst provides administrative support associated with preparing loan packages for transfer to the purchasing financial institution. Post close packages include auditing documents, depositing funds, recording transactions and reconciling files. Provides timely delivery of closing and collateral documents.HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE
- Perform detailed post closing review of complex closed loan packages to determine completeness, accuracy and compliance with guidelines.
- Troubleshoot on a wide variety of complex problems and identify solutions within broad application and functional expertise.
- Perform reconciliations, recordings and auditing of closing packages.
- Track closed loan files; update company operating system.
- May act as a team resource and subject matter expert.
- Run monthly reports for incomplete fee transfers to verify all files closed for the month are completed. Sort and distribute files to appropriate team/party to complete if needed.
- Run monthly reports for file shortages and contact appropriate team for funds received for files with temporary shortages.
- Confirm all escrow due has been paid and any held escrow has been followed up on.
- Regularly sort incoming Internal APs and upload to the company operating system. Provide AP codes to the appropriate vendors.
- Reconcile checks against remittance reports and send out monthly.
- Approve wires, set up certified checks, and receipt any CC incoming payments in FAST.
- Reconcile accounts.
- Monitor trial balance regularly by sorting and distributing to the appropriate team/party to complete. Work on legacy files to discuss and create protocol with management.
- Update and maintain spreadsheets for recording reconciliations and forward information of re-cleared checks to the team.
- Monitor override of premiums in FAST.
- Issue refunds and certified checks. Investigate, file, deposit money, add trial notes, and refund vest as needed.
- Assist agents in getting into FAST.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Typically requires 2-4 years of related analytical experience
- Strong customer service orientation
- Detail orientation
- Excellent verbal communication
- Problem solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent analytical, verbal and written skills.
- Strong knowledge of company operating systems
- Ability to understand and adhere to state and federal mortgage lending regulations
- Strong knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of a particular function/department/field
- Strong computer skills including all applications in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to diagnose and analyze problems and identify and drive appropriate solutions.
Salary Range: $23.80 - $31.80 Hourly
This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
