Come join our Garden City branch of First American, where we recognize our true worth is our people. We are looking to add a Receptionist/Title Searcher to our growing team. If you are a customer-service oriented individual that wants to be a part of a dynamic team in the Real Estate industry, we’d love to hear from you. The daily functions of this role are vital to our organization’s success. This is an in-office position located at 124 Grant Avenue, Garden City, KS

What You’ll Do

  • Greet, interact, and assist visitors and customers 
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls 
  • Support the team by gathering, reviewing, and preparing documents; maintaining accounts; setting up appointments; assembling document packages 
  • Conduct title research to compile search packages ranging in complexity; documents all research
  • Process departmental documents requiring specific knowledge of functional operations, type correspondence and reports from rough drafts.
  • Compile, investigate, and interpret tax records in order to determine tax liability.  
  • Travel to court houses, municipalities, and other government entities to perform searches
  • Must obtain Title Insurance license within first 90 days of employment

What You’ll Bring

  • Passion for meeting new people and helping them get what they need 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and willingness to learn other technology as needed 
  • Strong work ethic and meets commitments 
  • Thrives in contributing to a team working together to deliver beyond customer expectations  
  • Investigative / research skills
  • 1+ years related experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Must possess valid driver’s license
