A Lead BSA in the context of Database Management is responsible for designing, and working with the Technical team to implement designed solution and monitor and ensure the proper maintenance of the databases that support reporting replicated databased and business processes. This role blends software development with database architecture and performance optimization.Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement relational database structures, stored procedures, views, and functions.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for reporting use.
- Collaborate with application developers and product managers to integrate backend data solutions.
- Provide guidance for create effective ETL processes for data ingestion and transformation.
- Monitor and Provided guidance to DBA Team to tune database performance, including indexing and query optimization.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across environments.
- Document database schemas, processes, and best practices.
- Support data migration, backup, and recovery strategies.
Tools & Technologies Knowledge:
- Databases: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Snowflake
- Languages: SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL, Python, JavaScript
- Tools: SSMS, pgAdmin

Key Responsibilities of a Lead BSA:
Database Design & Modeling
- Create and maintain logical and physical data models.
- Define relationships, constraints, and indexing strategies.
SQL Development
- Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
- Optimize queries for performance and scalability.
ETL & Data Integration
- Develop Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to move and transform data between systems.
- Work with tools like SSIS, Informatica, or custom scripts.
Performance Tuning
- Analyze slow-running queries and optimize them.
- Monitor database performance and suggest improvements (e.g., indexing, partitioning).
Data Quality & Integrity
- Implement validation rules and constraints.
- Ensure data consistency across systems.
Collaboration
- Work closely with application developers, data analysts, and DevOps teams.
- Support business intelligence and reporting needs.
The pay range for this role is $99,675.00 - $132,875.00
This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
