First American’s Internship Program is a full-time, 10–12 week paid internship from June – August 2025 which can be worked from an office or remotely, depending on the job opportunity. As a First American Intern you will work in a program designed to help you gain experience and develop the technical, professional, and interpersonal skills that will be invaluable throughout your career. As a First American Intern you will gain exposure to working in a corporate environment within the Financial/Title Industry – balanced with intern-specific activities, executive level presentations and networking opportunities – while under the guidance of a manager and/or mentor. Undergraduate students are assigned significant work assignments to support specific business functions including Marketing, Human Resources, Technology, Accounting and Finance. The zoning team oversees multiple projects on an ongoing and regular basis. Individually, or as part of a team, responsible for creating and assembling zoning-based reports based on client requirements. Duties may include researching existing zoning and municipal codes/regulations, inputting data into systems based on analysis, tracking and managing pipeline to hit deliverable timelines, and reviewing completed reports for accuracy for delivery to client, performs spatial analysis and data organization in GIS applications. This position will be located onsite at 110 E 42nd St, 10th Floor, New York, NYWhat You’ll Do
- Reviewing property data and comparing conditions noted to municipal zoning requirements for particular projects
- Proofread out-bound reports, checking for correct content, spelling, grammar, etc.
- Maintains appropriate logs, tracks information as needed, records and filed for information & tracking purposes
- Communicates status with clients on a weekly (sometimes daily) basis, sending out reports and information to clients, addressing all client comments
- Interprets code sections and compares regulations to the data of properties to determine conformance status
- Builds Sightline and/or Envelope reports
- May facilitate status meetings

Typical Education
- College/University students enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with 3 months – 2 years of work experience.
Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.00 hourly
This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
