First American Trust is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong business and operations knowledge. This individual will leverage their expertise to provide insights, identify issues and inefficiencies, and recommend process improvements.What You’ll Do:
- Defines business process requirements, researches alternatives, prepares presentations, drives solutions, gains consensus, tests to confirm, and implements solutions for a specific business need
- Serves as SME to banking services billing system, implementing system configuration or process changes to meet business requirements
- Manages large data sets from disparate sources to support data mining analysis, and research projects
- Analyzes and gathers customer requirements to develop and implements customized solutions and provides alternative solutions
- Provides informal training as part of the implementation process and may provide formal training and support directly to customers
- Partners with business partners and SMEs, creates documentation of business processes, training procedures, and standard operating procedures
- Generates and creates reports; researches and analyzes data and reports trends to management/ business partners
- Works on a wide range of problems where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
- Understands the source and availability of data within a complex operating and financial systems structure
- Acts in an advisory capacity, influencing and making recommendations which may have an important impact on the conduct of the business segment
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
- Has the creative latitude to work outside policy and develop new solutions
- Negotiates, persuades, and gains consensus from implementation team and/or management
- Works independently setting own priorities and objectives with supervisory consultation
- Regularly makes recommendations to and influences department policies and procedures
- Actively contributes to the results of a team and works towards achieving team goals and objectives
- Uses expertise of more senior level Business Analysts and team members and leverages additional resources to confirm solution or explore customized applications as a solution
What You’ll Bring:
- BA/BS Degree or equivalent work experience required
- 2-5 years of directly related experience
- Banking or financial services experience preferred
- Advanced MS skill set, particularly in Excel required
- Strong analytical skills to determine root cause of problems and apply creative and effective solutions
- Ability to analyze a situation, interview, formulate questions, and probe for deeper knowledge/ understanding
- Expertise in organizing, analyzing, and presenting data effectively
- Basic knowledge of general business, production, and/or operation environment and general cost benefit awareness
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to clearly define parameters and meet business requirements
Pay Range: $72,125 - $96,125 annually
This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
