What We Do

Responsible for the procurement of goods and services through the First American procurement application, ensuring order accuracy and timely processing. Provide support to business units throughout the purchasing process, along with resolving issues related to Purchase Order-backed invoices. Provide training to end users on the procurement application tool. First level support for purchase order/contract backed suppliers.

What You'll Do

  • Review purchase requirements, create and maintain requisitions, and process orders through the procurement application
  • Ensure appropriate agreements and supporting documentation are in place for all purchase orders
  • Work with stakeholders and vendors to resolve issues related to purchase orders
  • Resolve A/P invoice issues related to purchase orders
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure business needs are met and orders are processed timely
  • Support functional teams with data analysis, reporting, and account reconciliation
  • Provide both formal and informal training to procurement application users
  • Front line service partner to procurement application users providing assistance with purchases
  • Communicate with all levels of leadership, vendors, and team members on purchase order related matters
  • Establish relationships with key vendors for current and future procurement initiatives
  • Work directly with stakeholders and Legal department in executing low risk agreements that require minimal to no contract changes as assigned
  • Conduct sourcing and contracting of materials, services and supplies for one-off purchases as assigned
  • Obtain cost savings by recommending alternate sources and negotiating price reductions when applicable
  • Contact vendors, secure bids, and place order with vendors providing best overall value
  • Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used

  • AA/AS Degree preferred or equivalent work experience 
  • Typically has 3-5 years of related experience
  • Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Follows department processes and procedures and may make recommendations.
  • Achieves set objectives and gives input to those objectives.
  • Works with other FAC groups to resolve issues (i.e. Accounting)
  • Recommends process improvements for departmental procedures.
  • Negotiates, persuades and gains consensus during bidding/contract processes.
  • Errors may be difficult to detect and would normally result in loss of data, time and cost to the business.
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Solid communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Customer service skills
  • Organized & detail oriented
  • Understanding of accounting principles
  • Analytical

Salary Range: $54,500.00 - $72,700.00

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting.  Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
