What We Do

At First American, we help people move forward—confidently, securely, and with clarity—toward successful futures. As a leading B2B real estate financial services provider, we’re known for trust, transparency, and innovation in a complex industry where certainty matters most. Our brand exists to make the path ahead clear for customers, partners, and communities alike. Now, we’re building a brand marketing team designed to elevate our presence, amplify our voice, and lead the industry conversation. If you’re a strategic content leader who sees content as a vehicle for engagement, education, and growth, we’d love to meet you.

We’re looking for a Content Strategy Lead who thrives at the intersection of storytelling, strategy, and collaboration. In this role, you’ll shape the stories we tell and how we tell them—turning insights from subject-matter experts into meaningful, effective content that informs, inspires, and strengthens our brand reputation.

You’ll work directly with internal thought leaders, product experts, and executives to surface ideas and insights. Then you’ll partner with designers, writers, and campaign leads to bring those ideas to life across a range of channels.

You will own the editorial roadmap and drive our test-and-learn approach to content—always asking what’s working, what’s worth doing next, and how we can deliver value in every piece we publish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead content strategy and editorial planning aligned to brand goals, customer needs, and market opportunities.
  • Collaborate with thought leaders across the business to identify compelling ideas and transform them into engaging content.
  • Develop and manage a strategic editorial calendar across formats (long-form, short-form, video, visual, interactive).
  • Partner with creative and campaign teams to ensure every piece is beautifully executed and effectively distributed.
  • Own content performance tracking and insights: what drives engagement, what improves perception, and what earns trust.
  • Create guidelines, playbooks, and templates that help internal teams and SMEs become better storytellers.
  • Champion a test-and-learn mindset, refining content based on data and audience feedback.
  • Ensure consistency of voice and brand standards across all customer-facing content.

Who You Are

  • A storyteller with strategic depth who sees both the message and the metrics.
  • Deeply curious about complex topics and able to translate them into content that resonates.
  • Passionate about helping people understand what’s possible and what they need to succeed.
  • A proactive collaborator who thrives in cross-functional settings and brings people along with your vision.
  • Comfortable working with executives, researchers, legal/compliance, and designers alike.
  • Committed to clarity, creativity, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 6-10 years of experience in content strategy, editorial planning, or thought leadership development—preferably in B2B, financial services, or professional services.
  • Proven success developing and distributing content across digital channels (web, social, email, events).
  • Strong editorial judgment and writing/editing ability who can quickly spot what works and guide others to create it.
  • Experience working with subject matter experts, managing stakeholder input, and translating complex ideas into accessible content.
  • Understanding of SEO and content performance metrics.
  • Strong project management skills and a bias for action.
  • An sudden urge to rewrite some of the content in this job post.

The pay range for this role is $82,925.00- $110,525.00

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting.  Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.

Why Join Us

This role is a chance to guide people to better understand how to build and protect their financial future in a complex world filled with growing risks. You’ll join a collaborative, purpose-driven team with big ambitions and the support to realize them.

We believe in investing in our people, our communities, and the future and we’re building a brand that reflects that belief at every touchpoint. If you’re excited to help others move forward—through content that educates, empowers, and inspires—you’ll thrive here.
