Maintains integrity of accounting information and reporting in accordance with standards and rules under GAAP, SEC regulations and in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley. Primary role includes preparation of quarterly SEC filings, including financial statements and notes to financial statements, technical accounting guidance and oversight, share-based compensation and employee benefit plans, as well as stand-alone financials. Provides technical accounting oversight including evaluating the impact of changes in accounting guidance on Company's financial statements. Documents accounting policies and procedures and participates in external audits.What You’ll Do:
- Performs complex accounting research and analysis to ensure GAAP compliant financial statements and SEC reports. This includes researching new pronouncements relevant to the Company. Identifying and managing the implementation of new accounting guidance.
- Drafts the quarterly 10-Qs and annual 10-K.
- Manages quarterly SEC filings including use of the in-house reporting tool.
- Manages the XBRL tagging of the Company’s quarterly financial statements for filing with the SEC.
- Manages the accounting and reporting for the Company’s share-based compensation and employee benefit plans.
- Draft accounting position memos and accounting policies.
- Interfaces and assists with internal and external audit.
- Performs high level review of schedules supporting disclosures in SEC filings.
- Creates and maintains comprehensive supporting documentation for quarterly SEC filings.
- Communicates with multiple levels in the organization and escalate issues to appropriate management.
- Drafts annual financial statements and related notes for certain stand-alone subsidiaries.
- Perform ad hoc projects as needed.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA designation required.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, accounting, or a related field, including SEC reporting experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience required; Big 4 experience strongly preferred.
- Advanced expertise in the interpretation and application of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations; IFRS knowledge a plus.
- Experience working with large ERP systems, with Oracle and Hyperion preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex scenarios, assess alternatives, and recommend effective solutions.
- Demonstrated complex problem-solving abilities and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical accounting matters to diverse audiences.
