What We Do

Provides high-level administrative support and assists attorneys in the preparation of letters, pleadings, documents and filings for pursuit of recovery of company losses. Ensures compliance with rules, regulations and laws of various local, state and federal courts and governmental agencies. Performs legal research, organizes and compiles data. May have direct consumer and attorney contact to explain documents or gather and provide information.

Essential Functions

  • Provides administrative support to an attorney and/or legal team
  • Tracks recoveries to ensure payments received and/or follow up with debtors when delinquent
  • Performs administrative and fact-finding duties
  • Reviews documents for basic information
  • Prepares basic internal memoranda and routine correspondence
  • Files documents, organizes, and maintains files, prepares indices with supervision
  • Establishes and updates internal client lists
  • Work is reviewed and supervised by senior paralegals and attorneys

  • Works on standard issues/problems.
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Follows department processes and procedures

Supervision Received or Extended

  • No responsibility for supervision of others

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • College preferred

Experience

  • Typically has 2-4 years of related experience

Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used

  • Proficient PC skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills

The pay range for this role is $47,425.00 - $63,200.00

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting.  Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
