Join the forefront of innovation as the Senior Director of AI at First American’s Strategic Product Development (SPD) team. This pivotal leadership role, reporting directly to the SVP of Engineering, is your opportunity to architect the future of Artificial Intelligence within our organization. You will be the visionary, steering AI adoption while considering legal, compliance, risk, business, and technical aspects. Your mission will be to work with teams across First American, crafting and propelling an AI strategy that fuels innovation and drives measurable business outcomes. As a strategic thinker and a pragmatic builder, you will not only devise First American’s approach to integrating AI in our regulated environment but also ensure our solutions are unbiased and ethical. Your role extends beyond strategy; you will be a catalyst, empowering others to expedite their AI journey.Key Responsibilities:
Forge partnerships with enterprise leaders to establish a clear AI vision and construct a seamless pathway for product and engineering teams to deliver AI-driven solutions.
Spearhead an innovation framework to foster AI adoption, evaluate opportunities, and prioritize projects that align with business impact and strategic significance.
Orchestrate the strategic planning and implementation of AI projects, ensuring they resonate with our organizational ambitions.
Assemble and guide a top-tier AI team from the ground up, attracting and nurturing exceptional talent in artificial intelligence.
Implement best practices, standards, and governance for AI initiatives, adhering to regulatory demands and industry benchmarks.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to seamlessly integrate AI technologies into our platforms and applications.
Offer technical mentorship, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the AI team.
Qualifications:
15+ years in technology and a deep 5+ year immersion in Data, Analytics, and AI/ML architecture.
1+ years hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), showcasing a history of deploying LLM technologies that have yielded tangible business benefits.
Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, capable of inspiring teams to pursue and realize ambitious objectives.
A proven innovator with a track record of leveraging AI to drive business transformation and measurable outcomes.
Outstanding communication abilities, adept at engaging and swaying stakeholders across all organizational tiers.
Pay Range: $230,000 - $250,000 Annually
This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements, and geographic location.
