Senior Linux Systems Administrator

We are hiring a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to manage our 700+ Linux servers. The candidate should have experience with large-scale enterprise deployments, and will ensure compliance, security, and efficient operation using Ansible, Rundeck and ManageEngine tools.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, implement, and manageour configuration management tools (i.e.Rundeck, ManageEngine) to ensure secure and efficient server management across the organization.

• Develop and maintain policies, configurations, and compliance standards for Linux servers.

• Create and manage server configuration profiles, applications, and updates tomaintaina consistent user experience and ensure software isup-to-date.

• Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to server builds, application deployment, and policy compliance.

• Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to develop and maintain a comprehensive server management strategy, incorporating best practices and industry standards.

• Assist in developing & maintaining documentation related to Rundeck and ManageEngine configurations, policies, and procedures.

• Up to 10% travel.

What You’ll Bring:

• In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems administration.

• Strong experience in managing Linux servers using configuration management tools including Ansible,Rundeck and ManageEngine (or other related technologies).

• Familiarity with scripting languages including Bash, Shell, Python or similar.

• Knowledge of security hardening practices using CIS security standards.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry best practices.

Nice to Have:

• Experience creating and managing server bakery images.

• Experience working in Cloud environments (AWS preferred).

• Experience working with Microsoft Windows OS.

• Experience using artifact/package/binary management tools (Artifactory preferred).

• Familiarity of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) best practices.

Travel: Up to 10%

Pay Range: $95,350 - $127,125 Annually

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements, and geographic location.
