What We Do

Manages the contract life cycle for one or more significant and complex spend categories.

Essential Functions

  • Oversee the contract life cycle for key spend categories, including preparing Requests for Proposals, negotiating terms and conditions, and leading sourcing teams.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in the category being managed by analyzing trends and dynamics of the current market
  • Develop and execute pricing strategies and contractual agreements that effectively align complex business objectives with legal requirements to drive targeted business results.
  • Work with key stakeholders to determine specific needs of the business
  • Lead cross-functional teams in developing sourcing strategy
  • Identify vendors with the capability to meet business requirements
  • Manage and monitor vendor performance on an on-going basis
  • Perform additional assigned duties


Job Complexities

This position entails undertaking a variety of tasks that may present moderate complexity, often requiring sound judgment and practical reasoning. The role also demands a certain level of assessment, creativity, and resourcefulness.


Supervision Received or Extended

  • Works under general supervision
  • No responsibility for the supervision of others



Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used

  • Three to five years of experience in category management / strategic sourcing
  • Proven track record of negotiations tactics and strategies resulting in cost savings and risk avoidance
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and redline complex contract terms and conditions
  • Strong ability to communicate with business owners, legal, and other stakeholders
  • Strong MS Office Skills


Typical Education

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent experience
  • MBA, CPSM or other applicable education or certifications highly desirable


Typical Range of Experience

  • Typically, 3-5 years of related experience


License or Certification

  • CPSM or equivalent desired

The pay range for this role is $95,350.00 - $139,838.00

This position is also eligible for a yearly bonus target.

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting.  Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
