What We Do

First American’s Internship Program is a paid internship, which can be worked from an office or remotely depending on the job opportunity. As a First American Intern you will work in a program designed to help you gain experience and develop the technical, professional and interpersonal skills that will be invaluable throughout your career. As a First American Intern you will gain exposure to working in a corporate environment within the Financial/Title Industry – balanced with intern-specific activities, executive level presentations and networking opportunities – while under the guidance of a manager and/or mentor. Undergraduate students are assigned significant work assignments to support specific business functions including Marketing, Human Resources, Technology, Accounting and Finance. We are seeking a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented Summer Marketing & Social Media Intern to support our marketing initiatives and help enhance our digital presence. This role is ideal for a student or early career candidate interested in social media strategy, content creation, brand engagement, and analytics. This role offers a flexible schedule of 15–25 hours per week, with the opportunity to transition to full-time (40 hours per week) once the school year ends. Occasional in-office days in Santa Ana are required.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist in developing and executing social media content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)
  • Create engaging posts, stories, short‑form videos, and basic graphics using Canva or similar tools
  • Monitor social media channels for trends, engagement opportunities, and audience insights
  • Support marketing campaigns, including email marketing, promotions, and events
  • Conduct market research on competitors, industry trends, and audience behavior
  • Help manage the content calendar and ensure consistent posting
  • Track and report weekly metrics, including reach, engagement, follower growth, and campaign performance
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align messaging and branding
  • Assist with administrative and organizational tasks as needed within the marketing department
  • Hands‑on experience executing real marketing and social media campaigns
  • Portfolio‑building content creation opportunities
  • Exposure to marketing strategy, analytics, and brand management
  • Mentorship from industry professionals
  • Practical skills that prepare you for future roles in marketing, communications, or digital media

What You'll Bring:

  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
  • Strong understanding of major social media platforms and current trends
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative mindset with interest in content creation and storytelling
  • Basic experience with tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Create Suite or similar preferred
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work independently or collaboratively
  • Positive attitude, curiosity, and eagerness to learn

Pay Range: $15.37 - $20.49 Hourly

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
