Works with business and technical teams to envision, design and develop technology products. They are expected to define the product vision and ensure its features support the business strategic plans. They use their deep knowledge of technology, processes, methodologies and principles to lead their product teams to successful outcomes. They are able to learn and adapt to new business domains in a short space of time and has experience living the full product Lifecyle.- Establishes product vision and ensures a shared understanding across all parties
- Collaborates and communicates with executive steering committees on roadmap priorities and recommended features.
- Performs Product Research and obtains Customer Feedback
- Works with users to understand and validate their needs using Lean and UX design principles
- Collaborates with business and technical groups to design and develop product features.
- Ensures product features support strategic business goals and defines Business KPIs measure improvement.
- Collaboratively develops product marketing campaigns
- Collects analytics and acts to address shortcomings identified from the data collected.
- Creates and uses wireframes to convey new feature ideas.
- Writes development stories for Agile development teams.
- Provides quality assurance and usability feedback on development builds.
- Subject Matter Expert in the product(s) supported
- Communicates and help solves for product issues and risks where applicable
- Develops, defines, maintains and communicates the product strategy, roadmap and release plans
- Prioritizes product goals and objectives developed in Product Strategy and maintained in a product backlog and roadmap
- Understands and communicates relative pros and cons of various product offerings
- Measures Customer Satisfaction: defines and measures the success of changes made to the Product. Creates appropriate action plans to address when success measures are not met. Conducts regular feedback sessions to gain valuable customer feedback on the product being developed.

- Product Governance & Budgeting including understating and communication of cost options and cloud financial management
- Required to perform duties outside of normal work hours based on business needs.

- Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with extensive knowledge base of industry practices and established policies and procedures
- Exercises wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments
- Errors will have significant business and financial impact
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at the senior management level across functional groups and business units
Supervision Received or Extended
- Depending on size of group and department the role may or may not provide supervision for team members
- If not - may still provide functional advice or training to less experienced team members
- If yes- Supervises daily work activities of a functional area and provides direct supervision and selects and coaches talent and holds employees accountable for results
Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used
- Has a deep understanding of Agile, Lean and UX Principles
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Proven ability to influence senior leadership within an organization
- Strong written and oral communication skills in order to define business and technical parameters and lead team to meet business requirements.
- Has knowledge of general business environment/operation and has general cost benefit awareness.
- Innovative and forward thinking, decisive and action oriented
- Experience in outcome-based delivery being business and solution focused
- Working knowledge of the discipline of TBM (Technology Business Management) and the Apptio financial transparency application
Typical Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Advanced degree preferred
Typical Range of Experience
- Typically has 7-10 years of directly related experience with an excellent customer understanding and progressive experience working in other aspects of technology (Engineering, BSA, technical Project Management, Etc.)
The pay range for this role is $151,575.00 - $202,100.00
This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
